A richly detailed Orthodox cross pendant filled with sacred imagery, heavenly protection, and traditional Christian symbolism.
The front of the cross features the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, shown in raised relief at the center. On each side of Christ are the Mother of God and Saint John, reflecting the holy scene at the foot of the Cross. Their presence represents sorrow, faithfulness, love, and devotion in the moment of Christ’s sacrifice.
At the top of the front side is the Holy Trinity, a powerful image of divine unity and eternal glory. At the bottom is Archangel Michael, the heavenly commander and defender against evil, shown as a symbol of courage, spiritual warfare, and protection.
The front bail features a Seraphim, one of the highest angelic beings, associated with divine worship, heavenly fire, and the glory of God.
The reverse side continues the protective and devotional meaning of the cross. The back bail features Спас Нерукотворний — Christ “Not Made by Hands,” the sacred image of the face of Christ, deeply revered in Eastern Christian tradition.
At the top of the back side is Saint Nicholas, one of the most beloved saints of the Christian world, honored as a protector of children, travelers, sailors, the poor, and all those in need. The central figure on the back is the Guardian Angel, representing God’s protection, guidance, and care over the soul.
The back also carries the beloved Orthodox prayer Спаси и сохрани — “Save and protect.” Together with the Guardian Angel, Archangel Michael, Saint Nicholas, and the holy image of Christ, this cross becomes a powerful symbol of faith and divine protection.
The oxidized background gives the pendant depth and contrast, while polished sterling silver highlights bring out the sacred details with strength and clarity.
